There were two recipients of the Michael Sullivan Diversity Scholarship in 2016 including IPA's APAGS Rep, Stacy Ko. Ko's study tests a moderated mediation model in examining the link between family appearance-focus, perfectionism, and body image dissatisfaction in the South Korean college student population. The results from this study serve to specifically delineate the development and intensification of body image dissatisfaction among Korean college students, thus having the potential to contribute to interventions that might mitigate the impact of factors contributing to body image concerns. Ko is a Korean-American student in the Counseling Psychology Department at Iowa State University.

At their June Executive Council meeting members agreed to make some changes to Spring Conference. One such change includes changing from the traditional Friday-Saturday conference model due to feedback from colleagues and some observed drop-off in attendance on Saturday. In spite of contracts already being signed, Hilton Garden Inn was able to change the dates to Thursday-Friday April 7-8, 2016 for the next Spring Conference.

An additional change will include a reduced registration fee for early bird registrants. The Early Bird Discounted Rate will be extended to anyone who signs up for the spring conference at the October 9, 2015 fall conference.
