This session on The Neurobiology and Treatment of Couples focuses on how neurobiology and endocrinology drive intimate human behavior along with strategies for assisting couples to cope with relationships issues. Seven primal emotional brain systems and accompanying feelings and hormones will be outlined including detailed images. Specific neuro-affective strategies for working with couples will be detailed along with a video of the presenter working with a couple. A brief overview of combining neuro-affective therapy with major models of couple therapy will be included.
