IPA sponsors two annual conferences, one in the spring, the other in the fall.
The two-day annual spring conference includes the IPA annual business meeting, a prominent speaker, workshops, honors and awards, displays of information, a luncheon, and opportunities for networking with other Iowa psychologists. Generally the keynote speaker presents a public lecture the night before the conference. Arranging the spring conference is one of the duties of the current IPA president.
The annual student abstract competition [1] takes place at the spring conference.
The fall conference is a one-day event that features a prominent speaker and a luncheon, as well as time for networking. Arranging the conference is one of the duties of the past-president.
The American Psychological Association holds an annual conference, x, and y.
IPA would like to include information about events of interest to students of psychology, including events sponsored by chapters of American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) [2], Psi Chi [3], the National Honor Society in Psychology, Psi Beta [4], the national honor society in psychology for community and junior colleges, or your school's psychology club.
Please contact the IPA Central Office [5] if you would like to post an event of interest to psychology students on the IPA website.
