The IPF Purpose

The Iowa Psychological Foundation was incorporated in 1992 as a charitable not-for-profit corporation to increase public understanding of psychology, to advance the science of psychology upon which much of the knowledge of mental health depends, and to support training in psychology. The focus of IPF activities and awards is chiefly within the state of Iowa.

The IPF Board is comprised of psychologists and non-psychologists who serve on a voluntary basis to assist with policy formation, fund-raising, and determination of awards.

IPF Funding

The Iowa Psychological Foundation invites gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources. Funding is solicited annually from the membership of the Iowa Psychological Association on a voluntary basis. All gifts are tax deductible and may be given in several ways:

  • cash gifts
  • bequests from wills
